The Negroni

Equal parts: Gin, Vermouth & Campari

ON THE ROCKS

Garnish with an orange peel

Try a Negroni Sbagliato, a “mistaken/incorrect” Negroni. Swap gin for prosecco!

In 1919, the Negroni was invented in Florence, Italy at Caffe Casoni (now Caffè Giacosa). It is said that Count Camillo Negroni asked Forsco Scarselli, a friend of his who was a bartender, to strengthen the Americano, his favorite cocktail. He replaced the soda water with gin, and the lemon garnish for an orange garnish, and the Negroni was born.

* Try swapping out Campari for Caffo Red Bitter Liqueur. Sweet oranges and bitter Calabrian chinotto oranges grown and harvested directly from Caffo properties are blended with an infusion of several herbs and spices, juniper, rhubarb, and gentian, to create this high-quality bitter.
